Yesterday I recieved a comment on one of my works ([link]) from =ProsePlease telling me they'd chosen that particular work to be their feature for April. Needless to say I was estatic because I'm lacking in self-esteem and it has kind of brought more attention to my writing. It was good for me because sometimes I feel like I don't write well, but then things like this come along and change my mind.
Anyway the featured work was an essay I wrote to get into honors school. The prompt was What idea, theory, formula, or work of literature, music or art has most inspired you? Why?. At first I hated it because it was hard, but once I thought of Mitch Albom's For One More Day the essay took less than a half an hour. If you have a case of writers block why don't you try to answer the question. I know after writing the essay I went back to deviantart for the first time in ages. I can't do a contest because I have no prizes to offer, unless I do this: Answer the question above and you will recieve a feature on this journal and my personal journal (~KittyKatKuriousity) for one month.
Have you ever read a book by an author, decided it was really good and went to pick up another book by the same author. It's like that: you write a good essay and people will check out your other work. However I will feature not only your essay, but you as an author, and another work that I find worthy of featuring. I will be the judge along with any other member who would like to volunteer. Let's say finish the prompt by May 4th. If you feel you should get more time, note me and I'll consider extending the date. This is more for fun, it's all about inspiration.

Meow!
My own update is far less interesting that Kitty's. I'll be finished my exams tomorow (thank God) and I'll be working full time at a job that gives me my entire mornings to myself.
I'm hoping to send my first novel away to a publisher by the end of the summer. Hoping. It depends on the editing process. (Contest for cover design is going on right now, see my personal journal).
Also, I'd like to thank Kitty for taking the time to make mention of the current unfortunate events. To everyone affected, you're in my prayers.
